March

Ahmm... March sounds like... spring!

I'm going to talk about our actual month: March.

The first thing that comes to mind talking about March is 8M, the international women's day.

And we had to do something in honor of this day, on honor of all the women that couldn't shout for their rights and they had all the rights to do it.

We did a great activity that I liked so much (in my opinion). The activity consisted of doing like a little paper in color purple of white, of any woman you wanted and you had to put her name, a photo of her, a famous quote and a qr code which had a video or a description of her inside it when you scan it.

The woman I chosed was Anne Frank, I think Anne Frank was a very strong woman, who fighted to have liberty and freedom and told to us all the adversitys she and her family had to pass in a very little place in Amsterdam only to survive...

The government was horrible, and sexist.

So, I think this activity was to think, and a great task to take in account all the things that happen daily and we don't care about them because they are not very close to us.

The last thing we did in March, was a podcast about this task where we had to talk about that woman and a little biography of her life in audio format to listen to it and have a better knowledge about this.

Changing of this... another thing we did was "Nyepi".

This is not a lot of the English subject but I think it was interesting with the thing I said before.

Nyepi was the day of silence, and we celebrated this day by doing a flag (in our case because we are special was an umbrella) and you could decorate like you want, but it had to have the concept of silence.

Our umbrella had:

-Four emojis "🤫", because we think this emoji completely represents the concept of silence.

-Some "pompoms" that were in the borders of the umbrella.

-And... a chest of a woman.

The last one was because we wanted to represent the 8M and the day of silence together, so we did this to "shout" for the womans who shut and they didn't had to shut.

An injustice... represented in an umbrella for a project in the high school, we thought it was a great idea.

And it was!

March was the "longest" month because we did a lot of things in here, and lastly the exams are going well and I think I have great marks.

With this last month in the second term, I say goodbye for the second time.

Goodbye!
